This site is a must visit for all Painter user's.

Seegmiller Art has some wonderful images created using Painter and also some very good tutorials, from beginner's to advanced. Ever wanted to paint realistic looking hair? well there is also a tutorial to show you how to do it.

Well, if Mr Seegmiller ever decides to make them available again, you will be able to see them. At the moment the tutorial description contains the following statement

"This section is going to be down for awhile like maybe the next six months. I do not want to compete with my own book"

When I first saw Seegmiller's tutorials, I thought 'Gee, this guy should write a book'. Well he's done that, it's over on the right, but now I think to myself 'Gee this guy should take a course in marketing. His statement above implies that you don't really need to buy the book, just wait for the tutorials to become available again.

So instead of letting you see how good his tutorials are, to entice you to buy the book, he just puts in that dumb statement.

Great news - the tutorials are available again, so make sure that you check them out, it's really worthwhile.

Well the tutorials are gone again, but there are currently five custom brushes and five custom papers available for download. Grab them quick before they disappear.

The Book

Fantasy Art Resource Project (FARP) - This site is a mine of information for creating fantasy art. However there are many tutorials on using the computer to create digital images. These are useful no matter what kinds of image you like to create. Although this is not a Painter specific site, Painter does get a very good coverage. Well worth a look.

The above link is to the section on computer art. The following link is to The Fantasy Art Resource Project Main Page
