Ray Dream Studio (now succeeded by Carrara Studio)

The main objects in this scene, the decanter, glasses, tray and table, are simple straight extrusions of a circle. All of the shaping is done using a symmetrical extrusion envelope.

Start with the table, which is the simplest object, and work your way up. If you like you can model the room setting as well. The walls and floor are just cubes reshaped to the correct proportions and the skirting boards are just a straight extrusion of a suitable shape.

Don't worry too much about the lighting and textures at this stage, concentrate on getting the shapes right. We will be looking at materials and lighting in a week or so.
